About the Winemaker - Julien Fayard:
A native of the South of France, Julien Fayard's early connection to the vineyards of Provence eventually led him to a career in winemaking. He honed his craft at prestigious Bordeaux estates like Lafite Rothschild and Smith Haut Lafitte. After assisting his family's winery, he moved to Napa in 2006, where he spent eight years as Director of Winemaking for Philippe Melka before launching his own acclaimed projects, including Fayard Winemaking and Covert Estate. With over two decades of expertise, Julien is celebrated for crafting California varietals that exquisitely combine power with French finesse, believing in wines that are a pure expression of their unique terroir.
